Solana copy trading bots, and what to check first
The category is genuinely good at the hard technical part. Where tools differ is in the parts that decide whether you can leave, whether exits are copied, and what you actually pay.
Solana has the most developed copy trading tooling in crypto, most of it inside Telegram. The bots have grown from swap helpers into full terminals: sniping, wallet tracking, limit orders, copy trading across many wallets at once. We make one of them, so take our view with that in mind. We are not going to rank the others. Instead, here is what to check in any of them, including ours.
The structural issue: who can sign
A Telegram bot can trade in one tap, or with no tap at all while you sleep, because it can sign transactions for your wallet. That is the feature, and it is also the exposure. The arrangements differ:
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Can I export the private key? | If yes, you can take the wallet elsewhere without asking anyone. |
| Can I withdraw to any address? | If yes, your funds are not locked in. |
| Where is the signing permission held? | That is where you are placing your trust. |
| Can I stop the bot trading? | Pausing should be one button, not a support ticket. |
With copypump: the wallet is an embedded wallet created through Privy and tied to your Telegram account. copypump holds a signing permission so it can place your copies. You can export the private key from the bot, it opens in a Privy window that copypump never sees, and you can withdraw to any address.
Why this is not hypothetical
A service that can sign for many users' wallets concentrates a lot of value in one place. That makes it a target from outside, and it means you are trusting its people and internal controls as well as its code. That is true of every bot in this category, whatever the marketing says.
The seven checks, in order
- Can you leave? Export the key, withdraw to any address. Test it with a small amount.
- Does it copy exits? Including partial sells, proportionally. A bot that copies buys and shrugs at sells has automated the easy half.
- Sizing controls. A fixed amount per trade, or a percentage of the wallet's trade with a hard cap. A percentage without a cap imports their risk appetite into your account.
- Filters set in advance. First buys only, market cap range, max open positions, cooldown on re-buys, max price impact. Rules beat judgement calls made at 4am.
- Stop and sell. Separate controls to stop copying and to sell what is open. Different emergencies.
- Fees at your size. Compare the cost per trade at the size you will actually use, on both legs.
- What you are told. Does every copied trade show up in your chat? Are skipped copies explained?
The thing they are genuinely good at
Credit where it is due: these bots solved the hard technical problem. They watch wallets on-chain, react within seconds, and route orders across the bonding curve, pools and aggregators competently. That is not trivial engineering, and it is the right place to intervene, because on a pump.fun curve every second of delay is paid for in price. See what a big first buy does to the price.
If the wallet you want to copy trades on pump.fun
Most pump.fun traders are Solana wallets listed on a public leaderboard, which makes them straightforward to copy with any Solana bot that decodes the bonding curve and PumpSwap. copypump is built around exactly that: pick from the pump.fun leaderboard in Telegram, or paste any Solana address, pump.fun profile link or username. The checklist above still applies, and it is the one we would ask you to run on us first.
Frequently asked
What is the best Solana copy trading bot?
We make one, so we are not a neutral judge, and we will not rank the others. The feature lists change every few months. The things that decide your outcome are the wallet model, whether exits are copied proportionally, sizing controls and fees. Check those for any bot, including ours.
Do Telegram trading bots hold my private key?
Any bot that trades for you while you are offline needs some way to sign for your wallet. Arrangements differ: some keep the key on their servers, some use embedded wallet providers with a delegated signing permission. Ask whether you can export the key and withdraw to any address, and test it with a small amount.
Are Solana copy trading bots safe?
The execution is usually good. The risk is concentration: a bot that can sign for many users' wallets is a valuable target, and you are trusting its internal controls. Keep in the bot only what you intend to trade.
How much do Solana trading bots charge?
Most charge a percentage per trade, and some add fixed costs. Compare what you pay per trade at your actual size, not the headline rate. On thin memecoins slippage is usually bigger than the fee either way.
Stop being the exit. Copytrade the insiders.
Pick a wallet from the public pump.fun leaderboard, set your size and a cap, and every buy and sell they make is copied to your wallet.
